A team of friends and family dedicated to raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society whose mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Join us as we train with Team In Training (TNT), the world's largest fundraising endurance program which has made leaps and bounds both in research for blood cancers and patient services over the past 27 years.
Your Time is Now
It doesn't matter if you're not an athlete or in perfect shape. Coaches will train you to cross the finish line. Saving lives isn't about being the best, it's about being the best you can be while helping to save lives. Tikkun olam – repairing the world. Let’s do our part!
Training starts for the Fall season in June and ends in October so you have plenty of time to train for your event. The fall events are the San Francisco Nike Women’s Half Marathon and the Portland Marathon and Half. Coaches provide you with detailed workouts that are event specific for BOTH runners and walkers. As a TNT member, you will receive a training guide suitable for your ability that supports you in achieving your personal best.
Team In Training has raised more than $1.4 billion to support blood cancer. 78% of all money raised goes directly to research and patient support. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. Research for blood cancer crosses over to other cancers as well. Every 3 minutes an American is diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin’s disease. Sadly, someone dies every 10 minutes.
