"And you shall teach them to your children..." Deuteronomy 6:7

Peninsula Temple Beth El seeks to provide positive, engaging, and enduring educational experiences for students of all ages. The values we seek to teach reflect a deep appreciation for Torah and the Jewish tradition, and encourage active interpretation and creative forms of religious expression. Our goals for Jewish Education are aligned with the goals of Reform Judaism.

Embarking on a Jewish education is a life-long journey. There are many opportunities for parents to learn alongside their children. The Education Program introduces students to the rich history and symbols of the Jewish people, the challenge of Torah study, the depth of Jewish prayer and the Hebrew language, and the rhythm of living the Jewish calendar and celebrating the Jewish holidays. It is our goal that students will gain the tools necessary to enable them to continue to study, question, and participate actively in Jewish life. We strive to strengthen our children's Jewish identity and to welcome them into our warm community.
