Save the Date: Angst Film Screening and Director Panel Wednesday, Feb. 6 6:30 p.m. (6 p.m. for those signed up for dinner) - PTBE is honored to co-host a special film screening and panel with Jewish Learning Works and the film director of Angst, an award-winning documentary filmed here in the Bay Area. The Angst project is an IndieFlix Original documentary designed to raise awareness around anxiety, with an emphasis on youth (6-12th grade) and families. The film includes interviews with kids, teens, experts, and parents. Our goal is to help people identify and understand the symptoms of anxiety and encourage them to reach out for help. Angst screens in schools, communities, and theaters around the world. The film and corresponding materials provide tools, resources, and hope. AngstMovie.com
PTBE will offer this screening is in lieu of regular WNP programs that evening. If your student prefers not to see the film, we recommend they do not come since there is no alternative programming. All parents who would like to attend are welcome to join us for dinner ahead of the film at 6 p.m. Please RSVP to Kim by Thursday, Feb. 28.
All WNP Students and their parents are invited to watch the film and participate in an engaging speakers panel with the director, as well as a local student and therapist who will speak to resources for managing anxiety. We hope to see many of you for this uplifting, important gathering. Please do not hesitate to reach Rabbi Laura with any additional questions.
