Welcome to Peninsula Temple Beth El

We inspire and nourish your spirit by cultivating an energetic, engaged Jewish community enwrapped in Torah, music, worship, belonging, justice, and Israel.

New Rabbi Welcome

We’re excited to welcome Rabbi Janine Schloss beginning July 1!
Stay tuned for opportunities to meet her.

Summer Shabbat Potluck Picnic Dinner

Please join us for our first summer Shabbat potluck picnic dinner Friday, July 18 at 5:15 p.m. Bring a vegetarian-only appetizer, salad or main dish to share with others (ensuring everything will be kosher style). We'll supply the outdoor tables and water. Schmooze with your friends, meet new friends and then join us for Shabbat Services at 6:30 p.m. There's no need to rush through dinner at home and no dishes to wash!

Please RSVP by July 16 so we know how many tables to set up.

Questions? Contact the Temple Office.

PTBE in the News!

Mazal Tov! We are excited to share that Peninsula Temple Beth El has been chosen by The J readers as their "FAVORITE" in the categories of "Innovative Programming" and "Gift Shops" on the Peninsula and in the South Bay! PTBE and other winners will be announced in a special issue of J News on December 22nd.

PTBE’s Eitz Chaim, Tree of Life

“Just as my ancestors planted for me, so do I plant for future generations” ~ Talmud,

Taanit 23a

The new Tree of Life will be prominently installed on the large outdoor breezeway wall—in between our main entrance and the Education Wing, as pictured, making these special tributes visible immediately upon entering our campus. Our community’s 750 existing leaves will be incorporated into the new design, interspersed with leaves being purchased now as new tributes. Plenty of leaves/boulders are available for tributes right now and for years to come.

Order your Tree of Life Tributes and learn more here.
