Sukkot
October 6-14
Sukkot, a Hebrew word meaning booths, refers to the Jewish festival of giving thanks for the fall harvest, as well as the commemoration of the 40 years of the Jewish wandering in the desert after Sinai. One tradition is to build a Sukkah and live or dine in it during the holiday.
