Torah Mantles (Covers)
In October of 2023, our new Torah Mantles were unveiled during Simchat Torah. PTBE had been in partnership with artist Nina Bonos to design new Torah Mantles (dresses and covers) for our Torah scrolls in the Sanctuary and Chapel.
A dedicated group of lay leaders partnered with Nina to create designs that reflect the spirit of our community. To learn about the mantle designs and hear from the artist about the imagery used, please view this 5 minute video.
You can have an opportunity to own a piece of this history. We will be offering Nina’s artwork at a silent auction during our 75th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, April 25. The silent auction will include:
Original Water Color Paintings of each of the 5 Torah cover designs, along with
Small and medium size fine art prints of each design
